Play group
The Aroostook Council for Healthy Families conducts monthly playgroups in both Houlton and Presque Isle free of charge to children birth to five year olds and their parents. The goal of these playgroups is to provide a convenient environment for parent child interaction. At these playgroups parents assist their children to make crafts, color, and play games. All materials for these activities are provided free of charge by the Aroostook Council fro Healthy Families.

Story Time
The Aroostook Council for Healthy Families conducts a monthly Story Time at Cary Library in Houlton. At this story time staff read carefully selected, age appropriate books. Story time is free of charge to children birth to five years and their parents. the goal of this story time is to introduce children to books at an early age with their parents and makes for a productive outing for them.. When able ACHF have free book drawings at story time.
