Teddy Bear Project
We raised over $1,000 toward purchasing teddy bears for local hospitals, police stations, and area agencies. These teddy bears will be given to children to provide support and comfort. Gina Parent and Jerry Adams performed haircuts for an entire day donating ALL the proceeds, $500, to this effort! Wal-Mart matched that with an additional $500!! Local motorcycle Clubs joined forces to organize and hold a “Teddy Bear Run.” Leaving from Houlton in the rain, they made stops at Cary Medical Center, The Aroostook Medical Center, and Houlton Regional Hospital dropping off bears at each site. What an incredible show of generosity!!
